Solution

JCHI has launched an AI deployment platform with development services extending UC San Diego’s existing Health Data Cloud. This AI platform is designed to support the training, deployment, and integration of AI models across the health system. Our goal is to support the use of AI to understand and improve our care by impacting patient safety, quality, efficiency, equity, value, and fostering innovation.

Our AI platform – the foundation for all of our work – is designed to empower every person, caregiver, and clinician with precision health AI-enabled solutions through collaborative innovation at UC San Diego, in our communities, and beyond.

Part of our mission is to expand the AI platform to UC San Diego and other universities and institutions, therefore equipping the next generation of data scientists with tools to build safe and effective AI products in healthcare.

Through our AI platform, we aim to become a hub for developing and applying just and equitable AI-enabled health solutions that transform patient outcomes and experiences across all communities. How it Works

• Tech platform that is secure, performant, and integrated:
  • Secure multi-cloud platform integrated with a range of endpoints (e.g., EHR, web, mobile, chatbots, etc.)
  • Full suite of model development, testing, and management services for traditional and generative AI models.
  • Multi-modal training and production data set.
  • Unified infrastructure with pipelines supporting real-time multi-modal inference.
    
• People supporting the processes and tech:
  • Access to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, informaticists, data scientists, cloud architects, EHR application analysts, business development, legal, compliance, risk, commercialization, ethicists, designers, and AI thought leaders.

• Processes to make AI models safe, scalable, and enterprise-grade:
  • AI governance, including ethics.
  • Idea incubation and model acceleration
  • End-to-end design, development, and evaluation services including model interventions
  • Managed platform for devops and model management.
  • Open to working with new-IP, co-developed IP, or fully protected IP models.
